The new cut grading standards of the American Gem Society (AGS), now embedded in Sarin’s DiaVision software, provide a first-class solution for diamond grading. The AGS standards are based on years of research on diamonds’ light performance.

As used at the AGS labs, the AGS Performance Grading Software analyzes the light performance of a faceted diamond. Using a Sarin DiaScan S+ or DiaMension, all facets of the diamond are measured in three dimensions and the measurements are then analyzed by a ray tracing program to trace the behavior of tens of thousands of light rays traveling through the diamond.

The embedded version of the AGS Performance Grading Software grades one stone at a time and adds convenience.

The standalone AGS Performance Grading Software is a versatile, powerful gemological instrument that includes auto-shape recognition and batch grading of up to 65,000 stones.

Both versions of the software include one year of unlimited use, support, and new shapes.
