The Kassoy Trinocular Microscope is a superb gemological instrument featuring widefield 10x/22mm field of view eyepieces with roll down eyeguards. It has 8x - 50x magnification with click stops at 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, and 5x. Higher magnification can be obtained with optional 20x eyepieces or an optional doubler, which attaches to the objective lens. The microscope's trinocular design makes connection to a camera and switching between viewing and imaging easy. The image is split 50/50, so the camera is always getting a view. The scope comes mounted on Kassoy's Deluxe Gemological Base with three sources of illumination: overhead fluorescent, darkfield/brightfield, and fiber optic (with ports on both sides of the base).Taking high quality, high resolution images is a snap with the 3.1megapixel Leica EC3 Microscope Camera. Use these images for appraisals,sales, the Web, or when taking in repairs. The Leica EC3 is easy touse. It attaches to and is powered by your computer's high speed USB2.0 port and is easily connected to the Kassoy trinocular microscope.Live and captured images can be shown full screen on a computer monitoror on an external projector.
The EC3 comes with Leica software for both Windows and MAC computers. The software has auto exposure capabilities, but simple controls allow you to manually adjust exposure, brightness/contrast, color balance, sharpness, and many more attributes. Images can be captured at 2048 x 1536 resolution and saved in TIFF, JPEG, and BMP formats.The Kassoy Trinocular Microscope and Base are covered by a 5-year Kassoy warranty; the Leica EC3 by a one year manufacturers warranty.The optional doubler doubles magnification through both the camera and eyepieces.The optional 20x oculars double the magnification through eyepieces but not through the camera.
