Sarin’s Instructor is an application tool used in the production/cutting process to enable diamond cutters to get better value for their diamond through the polishing
process.

The Instructor can help you determine:

• The current proportions of the diamond
• Prediction of the final carat weight of the diamond if cut to a set cut grade
• Instructions for the next polishing phase
• Border line cases - get warnings if the cut grade might be downgraded by a lab or conversely, when it is very close to the next higher cut grade

Although real-world diamonds are never absolutely symmetrical, gem laboratories grade diamonds for their highest grade with pavilion angles that don’t have the same value. With Instructor, you will be able to plan polished diamonds that take into consideration the real-world grading standards without the burden of trying to generate a symmetrical diamond when it is not necessary. By doing this, the yield of the diamond is higher and facets are not polished when it is not necessary.
